Stephenie Meyer Talks About Unforgettable Memories with Rob and Kristen

For starters, we asked Stephenie her standout memories of the “Twilight” cast. “One of the first is when I first visited the set and I went out to dinner,” she began. “I hadn’t met anyone in the cast. They were coming from dinner and they were delayed. They came straight from a gallery shoot where they were all in character costume, make-up… the whole bit. So the first time I met them, they were dressed up like my imaginary friends. That’s not something you get every day.”

Stephenie again laughed heartily as she recalled her unforgettable first meeting with Robert Pattinson. “When Rob and I first met, we had lunch together [and] talked about the script. We sat there and argued for a solid hour and a half about the Edward character. And he was really sure I was wrong [in parts]. I was telling him, ‘This is how Edward feels…’ He said, ‘No, this is how he feels here.’ We went back and forth [that way]. It was hilarious and fun.”

I begin to ask Meyer if she feels responsible for the barely imaginable level of scrutiny the actors have had to endure, but I get only as far as “Do you feel…”

“…guilt?” she interrupts. “Absolutely. Here’s the thing: there are some actors who are looking to be world famous, to be that household name, and although they might discover that there are a lot of negative things involved in that, it’s what they want. But that doesn’t apply to Kristen and Rob. That’s what makes it kind of ironic and tragic.”

Seeing that I’m taken aback by her choice of words, Meyer clarifies: “I just don’t think they enjoy the parts [of fame] that other people would. And I totally get that, because it would not be my thing either. At the same time – and this is where the guilt comes from – it’s created this nice, peaceful place for me. They took all of my heat, which I feel bad about. If they had the choice, I’ve no idea if they’d even do Twilight again. I just don’t know. I think this has all come at a heavy price.”
Meyer adds that she hasn’t seen either of them since the last Breaking Dawn premiere, and missed their company deeply on the set of The Host. Nevertheless, she hasn’t yet felt inspired to seek out any of Pattinson’s own writing, which includes a screen adaptation of the Martin Amis novel Money– about as far removed from Twilight as it is possible to get. “No, I haven’t read his script,” she admits, sheepishly, looking surprised that I know of its existence. “I’d be interested… and a little scared.”

Even after all this time, author Stephenie Meyer, the Mormon mother of three who became an overnight literary sensation with the 2005 publication of her young-adult novel "Twilight," can't explain the phenomenon that surrounds the grand romance between vampire Edward Cullen and human teenager Bella Swan, characters played on-screen by Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart.

"I don't know what makes people love it, I don't know what makes people hate it," said Meyer, seated comfortably in a suite of a Beverly Hills hotel. "But I do know that the feeling of being in love is a good feeling. We want to feel that emotion."

"I've always said that," Stewart said to Meyer, sitting beside her. "It's so vicarious. It's not like you are watching two people or reading two people. You feel like you are doing it. It's rare."

She is in front of a camera all of her life. I can't even imagine living like that.

Me neither. I would just jump off a bridge or something. In the earlier films she was not extremely emotional. Some "Twilight" fans have said, 'We can't have her being overdramatic; we need to live through her as a surrogate and the way she sees Edward and Jacob.' How do you feel about that?

I can't say for sure what Kristen's process was. I do know that she takes the character and lives in it and creates who that character is and then goes for it. I mean, she doesn't compromise. This was her Bella. It's so consistent throughout the movies because she knows who she is. I do think a lot of people wanted to be in her position, and that's got to be a really hard place to be, acting a character that everyone's going to sit there and say, "Oh, but I would have said this!"

Stephenie Meyer Mentions Rob and Kristen with MTV and Talks About BD2 Extra Scene

MTV: Kellan Lutz recently said there's a special bonus scene during the credits. What can you say about that?

Meyer: That's actually incorrect. What they've been talking about will be in DVD extras I assume but it's not in the credits. There is no extra scene.

MTV: Of course the fans are very excited to see Kristen's interpretation of Bella as a vampire at last.

Meyer: It's subtle and yet kind of amazing. She's very self-possessed the way she holds herself. She's a completely different kind of character.

MTV: Meanwhile Robert Pattinson has been describing the vampire sex in the film as "ridiculous" in recent interviews.

Meyer: Yeah I saw that. I think he was talking about how it was so hard to keep a straight face [during that scene]. For the actors, there are 40 people in the room and most of them are inches away from you. It's a kind of awkward menage-a-forty going on. I think when you see the scene it's a testament to their acting ability that you don't see any of that in that moment at all.

You might know Scott Lawrence from many films like: 'Avatar', 'The Social Network' and has acted in LOTS of tv series :D

‘The Host’ Trailer

'The Host' Trailer will be released on Thursday 22 March.

Author Stephenie Meyer issued an update today on her blog announcing that the first film trailer for Andrew Niccol‘s adaptation of her sci-fi novel The Host will be unveiled this Thursday, March 22nd.
The trailer will be released on Access Hollywood and Yahoo! Movies.
Last month, fans of The Host were invited to enter into a contest to be included in the trailer, and today, six winners were chosen from the entrant pool. Photos of those lucky fans can now be seen on the Official The Host Movie Facebook Page.
The Host will hit theaters in a little over a year (March 29th, 2013), and the film has been in production since February 13th with locations in Louisiana and New Mexico. Meyer commented last month on visiting the cave setting, saying, “It’s massive and beautiful, and walking around inside is like walking around inside my imagination.”
She also praised the casting choices for The Host as well as writer/director Andrew Niccol.
