PAUL BECKER, BD CHOREOGRAPHER TALKS ABOUT THE WEDDING SCENE AND ROB AND KRISTEN
BroadwayWorld PatCerasaro: You appear at the memorable wedding in TWILIGHT: BREAKING DAWN PART 1, do you not?
Paul Becker: [Laughs.] Yes. Actually, it was really funny - as you know, Bill Condon, the director, wrote CHICAGO and so he brought me in to choreograph TWILIGHT: BREAKING DAWN PART 1 and PART 2. And, so, I showed up on set and we were all having a good time, and, then, when I showed up on set for the last day of filming, where we were doing the big wedding scene, and I go into my trailer and I find there is a suit there. So, I say to the AD, “Why is there a suit in there?” and, she says, “Bill Condon wants you to get into wardrobe.” And, I say, “What?! What do you mean ‘wardrobe’?!” And, so I put on the suit and I go onset and Bill is there and he puts his arm around me and says, “I got you in CHICAGO and now I’m gonna put you in this one.” And, so, he put me in the scene.
PC: Was the dancing in TWILIGHT: BREAKING DAWN all Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart, specifically in the wedding scene? That 360 camera shot is so sweeping and beautifully rendered.
PB: Oh, yeah. That was all them one hundred percent. We had rehearsal with them for that scene specifically. Also, there was a Steadicam pass that we did that was actually with Jackson Rathbone and Ashley Greene dancing and they were actually doing swing dancing and flipping around and all of that stuff, believe it or not! [Laughs.] They all had fun - we all had a lot of fun on that scene. I loved working on TWILIGHT.

COLORIST JENNIFERJ TALKS TRANSFORMING R/K BACK TO THEIR E/B 'ROOTS'
KSN Exclusive When director Bill Condon recently announced Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson would pop in their vampire contact lenses one more time for a few days of ‘Breaking Dawn- Part 2′ pickups, we had one vital question: how would Kristen and Rob get their hair into shape for Bella and Edward? KSN had the pleasure of chatting with celebrity Colorist Jennifer J. about how she transformed both Kristen and Rob’s locks back into that of The Cullens.
Most recently, Jennifer transformed Kristen into a raven-haired beauty for ‘Snow White and the Huntsman’, so Jennifer’s first hurdle was to reverse her own work. “Going from black to brown is definitely a challenge,” Jennifer explained of the process, “especially since Kristen’s hair color was grown out so much from not coloring it since SWATH.” Jennifer said it took hours of coloring to get Bella back, “I had to darken Kristen’s natural root since she’s so light naturally and lighten her ends to match her newly darkened root.”
While it’s often just another day at the salon for someone like Kristen to alter her hair for her films, we wondered if it was as easy for a client like Rob. We asked Jennifer if there is a different mentality for a colorist when working with men.
Jennifer detailed, "There are two different types of color for men. Color that looks like it’s colored and color that looks like it’s not colored. I specialize in men’s hair color because I have a lot of tricks up my sleeve that can make hair color for men look great but natural. So many men have problems with their hair color looking red and brassy which reads fake on a man but I use color in a way so that it really looks untouched and more masculine."
But, Rob isn’t exactly a stranger to changing his hair color since he’s had different shades for The Saga and ‘Water for Elephants’. In fact, Rob was a good sport in the process. “Rob was happy that his hair color was grown out,” Jennifer said, “so he wanted something as temporary as possible.” While they had to stay focused on Bella’s look, Kristen also had some input in what the final product would be. “Kristen wanted something that would be healthy and shiny looking,” Jennifer described. “I used all semi-permanent colors from Wella Professionals, and they are super shiny and vibrant.” Jennifer’s work on Kristen’s mane has been within the parameters of movie role requirements and filming continuity, but we couldn’t help but ask the color expert what look she prefers on Kristen. Jennifer responded, “My favorite has been Bella. The warm chestnut brown with reddish undertones are so pretty on her.” And, if she could choose any color to perfect with Kristen’s locks for an everyday look? “There are so many colors I would love to do on her, but one that would be fun is red.”

MARLANE BARNES, MAGGIE IN BD2, TALKS ROB AND KRISTEN
MB: We all spent a lot of time around one another for this shoot. Both onset and off I really got the impression that he is a very sweet, earnest guy who has a lot of interests. He also wants everyone to have a good time! He and Kristen both made it a point to go to the crew wrap party in Baton Rouge, for all the locals who wouldn’t be moving on to Vancouver. I think that says a lot about their team spirit and gratitude for all the work that goes on behind the scenes. I was really glad to have met both of them.
