Designer Osman Yousefzada Talks About Dressing Kristen

From Grazia Daily | Via | Via:

Grazia Daily: How did it come about that Kristen wore your design?

Osman: Her stylist took a liking to it, pulled it and and she loved it. I got lucky! It is always an honour when anybody takes to your designs. When it finds a home on someone like Kristen Stewart, I consider myself humbled and lucky.

Grazia Daily: Did you work with her stylist?

Osman: I have a showroom in LA [laChambre] that works directly with her stylist.

Grazia Daily: What is it about Kristen that made you want to dress her?

Osman: Kristen has a strong presence but in that there is restraint, there is an element of mystery...intrigue. She feels like a natural extension of my brand so it makes sense to me to see her in my clothes.

Grazia Daily: Did you meet Kristen?

Osman: Wouldn't that be lovely? But no. I imagine she'd be really cool.

Stephenie Meyer Talks About Unforgettable Memories with Rob and Kristen

For starters, we asked Stephenie her standout memories of the “Twilight” cast. “One of the first is when I first visited the set and I went out to dinner,” she began. “I hadn’t met anyone in the cast. They were coming from dinner and they were delayed. They came straight from a gallery shoot where they were all in character costume, make-up… the whole bit. So the first time I met them, they were dressed up like my imaginary friends. That’s not something you get every day.”

(...)

Stephenie again laughed heartily as she recalled her unforgettable first meeting with Robert Pattinson. “When Rob and I first met, we had lunch together [and] talked about the script. We sat there and argued for a solid hour and a half about the Edward character. And he was really sure I was wrong [in parts]. I was telling him, ‘This is how Edward feels…’ He said, ‘No, this is how he feels here.’ We went back and forth [that way]. It was hilarious and fun.”

Teresa Palmer mentions Kristen - "I have been recognized for her on the street"

She's from the movie Warm bodies and when I was watching the film my friends kept telling me she reminded them of Kristen. And, they do kind of look alike :)

Have you ever been mistaken for another celebrity in public?
Kristen Stewart, all the time.

So what happens? Have you ever thought about just rolling with it and being like "Yeah, I’m Kristen, what’s up?"
I have been recognized for her on the street, and I've just gone ahead and signed her name. I've been like "You know what, whatever, I'm just gonna sign her name," because the person was so crazy excited and so I decided to just go along with it.

How often does that happen? A lot?
No, I've only done it once. Usually I'll be like "Oh, I'm sorry to disappoint you! You actually wouldn't know who I am, but whatever, I can totally pretend to be her!”"

Stephenie Meyer Talks About Rob and Kristen with The Times

I begin to ask Meyer if she feels responsible for the barely imaginable level of scrutiny the actors have had to endure, but I get only as far as “Do you feel…”

“…guilt?” she interrupts. “Absolutely. Here’s the thing: there are some actors who are looking to be world famous, to be that household name, and although they might discover that there are a lot of negative things involved in that, it’s what they want. But that doesn’t apply to Kristen and Rob. That’s what makes it kind of ironic and tragic.”

Seeing that I’m taken aback by her choice of words, Meyer clarifies: “I just don’t think they enjoy the parts [of fame] that other people would. And I totally get that, because it would not be my thing either. At the same time – and this is where the guilt comes from – it’s created this nice, peaceful place for me. They took all of my heat, which I feel bad about. If they had the choice, I’ve no idea if they’d even do Twilight again. I just don’t know. I think this has all come at a heavy price.”
Meyer adds that she hasn’t seen either of them since the last Breaking Dawn premiere, and missed their company deeply on the set of The Host. Nevertheless, she hasn’t yet felt inspired to seek out any of Pattinson’s own writing, which includes a screen adaptation of the Martin Amis novel Money– about as far removed from Twilight as it is possible to get. “No, I haven’t read his script,” she admits, sheepishly, looking surprised that I know of its existence. “I’d be interested… and a little scared.”

Tara Swennen Made THR's List of Hollywood's 25 Most Powerful Stylists - Kristen at Oscars is her OMG Moment

WHY SHE MATTERS
In addition to keeping Twihards everywhere happy with Kristen Stewart’s edgy looks, Swennen dresses some of television’s top-rated ladies.

HER TOP LOOK
Modern Family’s Bowen in a highlighter-yellow Monique Lhuillier gown at the Emmys. “The neon color was so fun,” says Swennen. The Costume Designers Guild member, who assisted mega-stylists Andrea Lieberman and Rachel Zoe before going solo, also dressed Stewart in a series of cutting-edge styles for Twilight: Breaking Dawn -- Part 2 worldwide press tour. The star’s racy-lacy looks by Zuhair Murad for the film’s Los Angeles and London premieres garnered a lot of attention.

“OMG” MOMENT
“My curveball this year was at the Oscars when I found out Kristen needed to use crutches!”
says Swennen. “I spent the morning of the awards show searching for appropriate flats for her injured foot.” The solution: Bloch silver ballet flats.

Rob's Stylist Ryan Hastings also made the list.

Kate del Castillo from K-11 Talks About Kristen

SBC: Did you get to work with Kristen Stewart? I heard she was in the movie and if you did, did you share any scenes with her?

KC: No, she was not in the movie. I think she did some voices only but I definitely met with her and she is amazing, she is a sweetheart, she was really nice with me, but I played many things with her brother Cam. Jules and her whole family are amazing; I wish [Kristen] would have played a role in the movie because she is a great, amazing young actress.

MyAnna Buring Talks About Rob and Kristen

When Marie Claire met with Twilight and Downton Abbey star, MyAnna Buring we had to ask what she found most attractive about the British star. MyAnna told us: ‘Robert Pattinson was born beautiful, he was just one of the lucky ones.’

Julie Bowen Mentions Kristen

"It was a big evolution in style for me to grow up and say, 'I need to take fashion seriously for my job.' I have a stylist now, and she's trying to get me to wear more revealing stuff. She's Kristen Stewart's stylist," the Emmy winner says, referencing Tara Swennen. "I go there and see all this amazing funky stuff, and I know it's for her. If I get K-Stew's castoffs, that's all right with me."

Jim Sturgess Talks About 'The Big Shoe and Kristen

Jim has yet to meet co-star Kristen but he is obviously well-aware of her work.

"No, I've never met her, so it'll be exciting," he enthused. "I know who she is. I've seen her in some great movies. She did a film called 'Adventureland' that I really liked."
And how exactly will his character, Elizabeth's and Kristen's all fit together?

"Elizabeth Banks plays a therapist who is trying to coax me—who's been hired by my family to coax me into making shoes again. I'm sort of a retired shoe artist. I now work in, like, a Payless shoe store. I've given up on shoes all together. So they bring in Kristen Stewart's character as a muse, and I fall in love with her feet basically. I don't even look at her from the knee down until [gestures at feet]. I saw some audition tapes, her feet look pretty amazing."

When we told Jim of Kristen's recent foot injury (on display at this year's Oscars ceremony), he was quick to (jokingly) explain the situation:

"She was doing foot training," he said. "Working those muscles."

Erik Odom and Guri Weinberg Talk About Rob and Kristen

Odom has high praise for the movie’s stars, Stewart and Pattinson — a real-life couple and fodder for the tabloids

“Meeting them, I was surprised at how down-to-earth they were. It was sweet to watch them together on set,” he said. “Just talking to them ... how smart Kristen is for how young she is. She’s just so intelligent and I can see how she’s had a full career at such a young age.” “She has the mind of a director. I wouldn’t be surprised to see, as she gets older, her transitioning into her own films because she has such a strong voice on set. She had such a strong vision of where she wanted to take Bella and she takes her there. You see it in ‘Part 2’ when she comes into her own as a vampire.”

Weinberg agreed that the actors were not egotistical.

“When you walk into a big film like this with big stars like this, you wonder how they’re gonna be ... how they’ll respond to you,” he said. “It would be a disservice to mention only the Top 3 (Stewart, Pattinson and Lautner) because the rest of the main cast were also just genuinely nice. You hear other people talking ... about how everybody’s nice and all that, but on this movie, everybody really was. They were amazing people. For them to have so much success at such an early age and still be so grounded ... to me, it was amazing to see. It was an honor for me to meet all of them and work with them as human beings.”

Odom, a self-confessed “hopeless romantic,” says he believes the appeal of the “Twilight” series is its timeless romance element — and the chemistry between Stewart and Pattinson made it a hit on-screen.

“(The filmmakers) really got it right with Kristen and Rob as far as the casting went,” he said. “There’s been such an overlap of how iconic the characters are, but also how iconic Kristen and Rob are — both on their own. When together, it became bigger than anyone could’ve imagined.”

Gavin Doyle Mentions Rob and Kristen

Last fall, Mr. Doyle returned to the same space (Beatrice Inn in the West Village, NYC) on his 26th birthday. It had the same name but was now Graydon Carter’s third restaurant, in a ”soft opening” period. In the back helping him celebrate, Mr. Doyle said, were Sienna Miller, Rob Pattinson and Kristen Stewart, Paris and Nicky Hilton.

“Rob and Kristen basically hosted my dinner and invited like 40 people, intimate, and most of them were Beatrice regulars,” he said.

Kristen had OTR screening in NYC that night.

E! reported about it as well.

MyAnna Burning Talks About Rob and Kristen

"Kristen and Rob are incredibly cool, they deal with things in quite an admirable way, I think.

"People forget how daunting that kind of attention can be ... I don’t know if [staying out of the limelight outside of films] helps or hinders them, it’s such a personal choice and there’s no right way or wrong way.

"What I love about them is that they tend not to comment on anyone else's private lives and that’s why people who work with them don’t comment on theirs."

And while there were fans queuing outside the set to see the pair during filming, MyAnna says their fame was never an issue on set - or even mentioned.

She said: "I can’t remember anyone talking about it ... it was never an issue on set, no one could get on set! You had to have special access – it was like Fort Knox.

"We had a few people queuing outside who had placards telling us that we were doing the ‘devils work’, so that was kind of interesting… but the majority of fans are just so lovely."

Hair Stylist Danilo Talks About Kristen's Hair for Oscars on Sunday

With Kristen [Stewart], I think I’ll probably end up giving her glam hair. I mean, she’s wearing a gown—shocker, I know—and since she’s young, she can get away with a really serious gown if she wants. But, you know, even if she just washed her hair, dried it, and diffused it and went with a big-deal beautiful gown, she’d look great and young and fashion and chic… We’re not going to make her look like an old lady, that’s for sure. I just want to give her hair that she can touch, move in, and feel glamorous about… Why wouldn’t a movie star want to look like a movie star? Also, I’ll just say that I already asked her stylist to bring accessories for the hair—with these side-swept looks, jewelry in the hair can be so amazing.
